The core tension of this narrative lies in the dual nature of the place known as ‘Pomona’: For those within it, it is a prison, a cycle, an abyss—a closed system from which there is no escape; whilst for those in the outside world, it is an island, a black hole, a forgotten and isolated grey zone within the urban fabric. The same place presents opposed spatial qualities depending on the vantage point.
